This capability helps eliminate errors, accelerates operations, and enhances user experience — especially in inventory management, product catalogs, or field data collection.

When enabled, the scanner appears in your app’s search bar, depending on whether you want a barcode, QR code, or both. Supported barcode formats include UPC-A, EAN-13, Code 128, among others. When a code is scanned, the app uses the detects the code to either search or input data in your linked Notion database. Use cases range from warehouse or store inventory scanning, product lookup apps, asset tracking, etc.
