# Secure Login

Enable user authentication with email one-time codes or Google Sign-In. Store user data in Notion.

In today’s apps, controlling who has access isn’t just nice-to-have — it’s essential. Whether you’re managing client portals, internal tools, or membership sites, you need to be sure only authorized people can see or act on data. Secure Login ensures that your NotionApps app is protected by user authentication, giving you peace of mind that sensitive content remains private and the user experience is safe and professional.

NotionApps’ Secure Login comes via private apps mode. To enable it, you first set up a Users database (with at least name and email fields), link that database to your app, and configure it as the app’s “Users Database.” Users whose email is listed in the database are allowed to log in. You can also enable more login methods: email + access code, Google sign-in (on paid plans), with email + password and enterprise SSO coming soon. If you want to allow additional users dynamically, there’s a “Sign Up” toggle that lets people register (optionally restricted by email domain).

Use cases for Secure Login include:
• Client portals, so clients can log in and see only their own data.
• Team dashboards for internal use, ensuring employees have access only to appropriate areas.
• Membership or community platforms, where users need to sign up, log in, and interact securely.
